Include the recipient's email address so we can notify them when their box(es) ship and select how many boxes you would like to gift (1 box, 2 boxes, etc.)

Please note: Your gift recipient will automatically join our next destination for their 1st box.

Include a FREE Gift Message that our founder will handwrite in a small card for your gift recipient to open.

Tell us where we should ship the gift and pay. That's it! The gift subscription automatically cancels once the last box has shipped. No need to worry about surprise charges.

How do I gift a book box?

Give the gift of a literary voyage it just 2 steps!

1. Add your selected book box(es) to your cart and check the box "give as a gift" at checkout.

2. Fill in your recipient's address (and email if you would like them to be notified of their gift) and include a message that our team will hand write in a card included inside the box.

When will my gifted book box(es) be delivered?

Once you complete a gift purchase, your recipient will be added to our pre-order “boarding list” for our bi-monthly book box upcoming destination.

We begin the boarding process/box creation on the 1st of a shipping month (January, March, May, July, September, and November) and will ship all gifted boxes alongside our bi-monthly subscription boxes on or before the 25th of a shipping month. Please checkout our subscribe page to find information about our next book box and shipping dates.

Each box is made to order! We hand-wrap every book, research and compose each travel guide, and craft a wooden souvenir just for their journey. Boxes ship as soon as they’re ready, with a guaranteed ship date by the 25th of the shipping month. Your recipient will be notified when their box has shipped if you share their email address at checkout. Please allow 3–7 days for delivery.

Example: If you purchase a gift box on February 25, your gift recipient will be added to the boarding list for our March box. Our boarding process begins on the 1st of March and we will begin preparing your recipient's box! We will keep them up to date with their order via the email address you provide at checkout.

If I gift multiple boxes, when will I be charged?

You will pay for the 1st subscription box immediately upon checkout. This will hold your gift recipient's place on our preorder list for the next destination (see subscription page for the destination). You won't be charged again until the subscription is renewed on the 1st of the next shipping month(we ship boxes every other month).

For example, let's say you gift a friend 3 boxes and you purchase this gift subscription on March 15. The next book box won't ship until May, but you have already prepaid and ordered that box when you checked out. Your gift recipient will receive an email when their box ships in May, and you won't be charged again until the subscription renews on July 1st. The 3rd and final box will renew on September 1st and the gift subscription will automatically cencel once that box ships.
