Each box focuses on a country inspired by that month’s book. Our founder personally reviews each book carefully to select literature that is both enjoyable and reflects the culture of the destination. In addition to your new “booked” destination, your box will arrive with
- book, a critically acclaimed and engaging story that reflects the culture of the destination
- a recipe, authentic to the location
- informative materials about the destination (pamphlet, itinerary, or travel guide, etc.),
- an exclusive Bon Voyage bookmark,
- and (our personal favorite) a limited-edition passport sticker to add to your reading passport!
We pride ourselves on quality and authenticity. Crowd your shelves with books and informative materials, not trinkets that will end up in the bin or the back of your closet. See where your next box will take you!
Once you subscribe, you will receive an email confirming your order. While you wait for your destination box, check out our social media pages and emails for the destination reveal of upcoming voyages and behind the scenes sneak peeks. Then, the excitement really begins! Countdown the days until your box arrives, and discover a voyage into a new culture.
Our boxes are delivered bi-monthly (January, March, May, July, September, and November). Your payment will be processed on the 1st of the month and boxes will be shipped out before the end of the month.
There is no limit to our voyages! Lucky for us, every country has a wide selection of quality and engaging literature, so long as we can get a copy we can get there.
In order to ensure the best "read around the world" experience, we strive to take readers to a new continent/region each month of the year.
We take pride in selecting authentic literary gems from around the world, which may come in a variety of genres. Our books are predominantly general fiction, historical fiction, speculative fiction, and romance. Many of our selections are international award winners.
This is an adult subscription box, but we are hoping to expand in the future to include subscriptions for young adults and young readers.
Absolutely! When you add the subscription to your cart make sure to check the "gift" option and you will be prompted to decide how many boxes you would like to gift (just this month's box, 3 months of boxes, etc.) Then you can add your gift recipient's shipping address, email, and an option to include a note. Our owner will handwrite your note and tuck it inside your box for that personalized touch.

Don't have a book club? Bon Voyage Book Box makes it easy to start a traveling book club! Share this page with a few of your bookish/traveling friends and order today. At your first meeting you can all unbox your boxes to reveal your destination, and then read the travel guide and other materials to get excited before you start reading. Your next meeting can discuss the book, eat/make the recipe inside the box, and unbox your next box.
